What a busy summer we had at the Aesthetic Training Academy!! We kicked off June with a visit down to London for this years FACE Exhibition.
Our company trainers Drs Simon and Emma Ravichandran (BDS) were part of an expert panel with other leading names in aesthetics such as Dalvi Humzah and Michael Kane answering questions about Botulinum Toxin. Emma also hosted a demonstration alongside Dr Kate Goldie on mid facial rejuvenation using dermal fillers. It was great to be part of the FACE exhibition and to make sure we are bringing you all the latest techniques in our aesthetic training courses.
Back in Glasgow we welcomed HA Derma to our training centre to carry out their popular Profhilo training course. Profhilo is a Bio remodelling Hyaluronic Acid treatment that acts as a super hydration booster for the skin, retexturizing and triggering collagen and elastin stimulation. Dr Emma Ravichandran (BDS) took 10 delegates through the training course demonstrating their specialised BAP technique. We have two more dates scheduled before the end of the year. Check out our guest courses section here www.ataglasgow.co.uk/guestcourses for more information. Their course dates can also be viewed at www.ha-derma.co.uk
With the aesthetics market continuing to grow our Getting Started in Aesthetic Medicine course is always our most popular and we were pleased to guide a group of newbies through our course at the start of July. The subjects covered include the history of toxin and dermal filler, their pharmacology and the practical application of basic toxin (forehead, frown and crows feet) and basic dermal filler (lips, nasolabial and mesolabial lines). Upon completion of training we are here to guide you through our complete calendar of courses so that you can build your knowledge, skillset and confidence in aesthetic treatments.
As patient satisfaction is about more than just toxin and fillers we like to ensure we have ways of offering delegates different avenues of learning. Chemical peels and microneedling continue to be popular treatments when it comes to resurfacing and remodelling the skins surface. The International Institute for Anti Ageing (IIAA) are distributors of 3 brands, all of which are geared for offering patients optimum skin health. They have been hosting their courses at our training academy on a fortnightly basis and are scheduled to stay with us into the new year. If you would like to know more about the training they offer and their company ethos you can visit www.iiaa.eu for more information
This week we held 2 of our most popular training courses. Dr Simon Ravichandran taught a group of medical professionals how they can treat Axillary Hyperhidrosis using Botulinum Toxin. Complete with demonstration and a fully guided practical session. We also had Lip Augmentation using a Cannula. This offers patients a more comfortable treatment with less swelling, downtime and a lower risk of bruising.
