Prior to our official launch Simon and Emma hosted a free to attend event for ASAP (the Association of Scottish Aesthetic Practitioners) members. This event was an opportunity for us to present and discuss our experience with managing complications from Scotland and the North of England over the past twelve months.
The event was well attended with practitioners travelling from the North of Scotland, the North of England and Even Northern Ireland to attend!
We feel that open discussion of the management of complications is vitally important to the advancement of aesthetic medicine, just as in any other sub speciality. When we practice so much in isolation, following different protocols and being presented with different arguments it can be difficult to drive at any sort of consensus as the best ways to approach problems.
We were really pleased with the event as it gave all who attended an opportunity to not just learn, but to share specific knowledge and experiences to enrich the overall knowledge within the network.
A big thank you to all who attended and contributed and we will be aiming to host another similar event soon!
